
I had some time to kill so I decided to look for a way to "batch process" multiple raw B+W images of roughly the same quality into better looking and less space consuming reading material (more like viewing for me as I can't read jap =P). I don't offer the following tutorial for Manga Editor usage (although they're more then welcome to it if they find this helpful) but for us fans who have in their possession large quantities of manga raws yet to be scanlated in eye straining quality. Manga Editors have it rough cleaning the raws up before tossing them out for us to enjoy no one will contest that. I posted this over in the Jtutorials forum but I spent so much time writing it I thought it'd be a waste not to bring it over to a larger fanbase so I can expect criticism and suggestions faster =) I'll write up the new instructions sometime later but from looking at the script and referencing the old procedure it should be pretty self explanatory. After messing around with the kodansha raws I've thrown together a new script I think will work better for a larger spectrum of raws. I had only used the previously posted script on Rena-chan's already high quality large files. In earlier versions of Excel you can use an array formula based on MAX and IF to find maximum values with criteria.Edit: As you might have noticed from my old script i am still a "cleaning" noob (although im not really cleaning just applying general attributes). MINIFS is a newer function, available in Excel 365 and Excel 2019. MAXIFS requires a cell range for range arguments you can't use an array. As a result, the syntax used to construct criteria is different. MINIFS is in a group of eight functions in Excel that split logical criteria into two parts (range + criteria). Note that MINIFS will automatically ignore empty cells in max_range that meet criteria. If no cells match criteria, MINIFS will return zero (0). The second condition is defined by range2 and criteria2, the third condition is range3 and criteria3, and so on. MINIFS can handle up to 126 range/criteria pairs.Įach criteria range supplied must be the same size as the min_range, or MAXIFS will return a #VALUE! error. Additional conditions are applied using range/criteria pairs.

With these three arguments, MINIFS returns the minimum number in min_range where corresponding cells in range1 meet the condition set by criteria1.

The MINIFS function takes three required arguments: min_range, range1, and criteria1.

MINIFS supports logical operators (>,=) and wildcards (*,?) for partial matching. The MINIFS function returns the smallest numeric value that meets one or more supplied criteria. The MINIFS function can apply criteria to dates, numbers, and text.
